Consider that your number may only be a random choice made by the caller. By all the past responses I have read here, I have to imagine he/she loves to create havoc and chaos in people's lives for his/her sheer enjoyment. Your best choice in this scenerio is to ignore the message. He/she will go away to torment someone else. If you respond, you have been hooked for further games/scams.

Got a call asking for the wife by a "Henry" who could not even pronounce her name correctly. Caller ID says "Trans South". When told we do not take advertising calls he hung up. Caller ID indicates this company has called a number of times recently. Caller: Trans South

Called with "free security system for placing sign in yard" scam. Calls repeatedly no matter how many times I opt out of future calls.

Called me stating he was a federal agent and that someone had gotten access to my SS# and that it was urgent that I contact him before something bad happens.

calling cell phone and using up my air time.

When I called them back they asked for "James Spencer III". I told him there is no Sr., Jr. or III. He said must be misguided call and that he'll remove my number from their data base. (Hope he was telling me the truth.)

I answered. Was a recorded call trying to sell me a new heating and a/c system.

I question a charge on my VC what was purchased.

MALE CALLER STATED ENTERED A CONTEST TO WIN A CAR. MY NAME WAS PULLED AND WON 1 OF 4 PRIZES.CALLED IT BACK TO SEE WHO CALLED ME SINCE I HAVE NOT ENTERED ANY CONTEST AND RCVD A VOICE MAIL.

IMHO this firm is a scam they threatened me with legal action even though I do not owe them a dime. They try to scare you into paying alleged debts.

i am getting harrasing calls at work and on my cell with a message at the end that says if i do not return the call or hear from my attorney thet all they can do is wish me luck as the situation unfolds.

Text message said "Sent by unregistered version of SMSCaster. In response to your request to modify your mortgage, reply YES to this message to get more information on reducing"

Called me a couple of times and I didnt answer b/c I didnt recognize it. She said I have been entered in a contest to win a million dollars. She got some of my info and I told her I was busy call me back later.
